In-Person Tutoring is Back!

In-Person Tutoring is Back!

Dear TA Families,

We are excited to return to in-person tutoring this summer!

We expect the transition to be in tandem with your needs and the safety of tutors, proctors, and families, and we will continue to communicate about changing policies as we monitor public health.

In the meantime, here is what you can expect this summer from any in-person tutoring:

  • All tutors working in person with students will be fully vaccinated.

  • Vaccinated tutors will not be required to wear masks unless your family or the tutor prefers to do so.

  • Anyone unvaccinated in the home (children included) should mask up while tutors are present.

  • If either family or tutor suspects illness, we will shift to remote tutoring to ensure the safety of all involved. Should a child exhibit symptoms of illness during an in-person session, our tutors will notify you right away and reschedule the rest of the session for a later time.

And here is a reminder of what we have planned for in-person testing:

  • All proctors working in person with students will be fully vaccinated.

  • All students and proctors will wear masks for the entirety of testing (as per Loyola High School’s requirements) and will have temperature checks at entry.

  • We will continue to offer remote testing for any students who find that more convenient or appropriate.

  • If our proctors notice a sick child, they will help the child to a quiet room and contact the child’s parents for pick-up.

We look forward to working closely with you to make sure your children can receive safe, in-person tutoring and testing from our amazing team. We’ve missed seeing you in person and being greeted by your adorable pets!
