To the Class of 2022...

We are overwhelmed as we watch your joy at acceptance letters, your pride in all that you’ve accomplished, your excitement (and nerves) about next year.

Some of you told us math didn’t make sense before TA. Some of you thought you were “just bad at standardized tests.” But each of you let us in, shared your worried thoughts, your moments of self-doubt, your frustrations with chemistry or a harsh teacher or the ACT Science. And in doing so, you proved again and again what your minds can do. Thank you for trusting us with these precious moments. We treasure them.

Whatever you thought about yourself when you started with TA, I hope you learned what we have always believed: that you have infinite capacity for growth and curiosity, that when met with committed grown-ups equipped with concrete tools, you can do whatever you’re willing to work for.

We know how much you’ve endured these past years and how much you have missed. Our wish for you is a first year of college filled with laughter over shared late night snacks, professors who change your life, and a continued sense of your capacity.
